This Educational Software Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the access and use of any software applications, temporary licenses, serial numbers, cloud-based access, or related digital tools (“Educational Software”) provided to students enrolled in training programs offered by areaFEA (“the Company”).
This Policy applies in addition to our general Terms of Use.
By enrolling in any course that includes access to Educational Software, you agree to comply fully with this Policy.
1. Purpose of Educational Software
Any Educational Software provided through areaFEA is made available solely for personal, non-commercial learning, practice, and skill development within the scope of the enrolled course.
Educational Software must not be used for:
Any professional engineering work
Consulting services
Commercial design or analysis
Projects performed for clients, employers, or third parties
Revenue-generating activities of any kind
Use outside the scope of personal educational learning is strictly prohibited.
2. Ownership and Licensing
All Educational Software, including SolidWorks®, Dassault Systèmes products, and any partner-provided tools, are the exclusive property of their respective owners.
areaFEA does not sell or distribute software licenses.
Any temporary access is provided through authorized VARs (Value-Added Resellers) or directly through Dassault Systèmes programs.
You acknowledge that:
All software is licensed, not sold.
Your license rights are limited, revocable, and non-transferable.
All use is subject to Dassault Systèmes’ EULA (End User License Agreement) and the policies of the issuing VAR.
3. Temporary Student Licenses
Students may be offered temporary access (e.g., 30-day licenses, trial codes, or cloud access) to support their learning within the course.
Temporary licenses:
Are issued individually
Are time-limited and non-renewable unless otherwise stated
Are for educational use only
May require identity or enrollment verification
Are governed by Dassault Systèmes’ educational licensing terms
The Company cannot guarantee availability, renewal, or reinstatement of access once a temporary license expires.
4. Restrictions on Use
Students must not:
Share activation codes, login credentials, or license information
Attempt to bypass license restrictions or create unauthorized copies
Use Educational Software for professional or commercial work
Reverse-engineer or tamper with any part of the software
Publish or distribute files created using educational licenses without clear marking as “Educational Use Only”
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate revocation of access to courses, software, and certificates.

SolidWorks®, 3DEXPERIENCE®, and related products are registered trademarks of Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation.
areaFEA:
Is an independent training provider
Is not a VAR (Value Added Reseller)
Is not an official partner of Dassault Systèmes unless explicitly stated
Does not represent Dassault Systèmes or its subsidiaries
Software access is provided through authorized distributors or educational programs, not by areaFEA directly.
6. Student Responsibilities
By accepting educational software access, students agree to:
Use the software only for permitted educational purposes
Maintain confidentiality of license keys and login information
Comply with Dassault Systèmes’ EULA
Refrain from any misuse that could violate software licensing laws
Notify areaFEA immediately in cases of suspected unauthorized use
Failure to comply may result in course removal, permanent account suspension, or legal action by Dassault Systèmes.
7. Company Responsibilities
areaFEA agrees to:
Provide necessary guidance for software installation and activation
Ensure compliance with Dassault Systèmes’ educational licensing rules
Revoke access if misuse or policy violations are detected
Coordinate with the issuing VAR in case of licensing issues
Maintain transparency about the duration and limits of temporary licenses
areaFEA is not responsible for software performance, stability, or compatibility.
8. Certification Exams
If certification exams (such as CSWA, CSWP, or Simulation exams) are offered:
Exams are governed entirely by Dassault Systèmes Certification Program Policies
Passing an exam does not imply endorsement or partnership
areaFEA does not modify, influence, or guarantee exam outcomes
Any exam voucher or access code provided is personal, single-use, and non-transferable
9. Termination or Revocation of Access
areaFEA reserves the right to revoke or suspend software access at any time, without refund, if:
A student violates this Policy
A VAR requests revocation
Dassault Systèmes updates its licensing policies
The student withdraws or cancels course enrollment
10. Acceptance of Policy
By enrolling in any areaFEA course that includes software access, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Educational Software Use Policy, in addition to our general Terms of Use.
